Programming a PLC and programming a robot are different disciplines. Each brand has its own language, its own motion philosophy, and its own safety particularities. An engineer who knows FANUC doesn’t necessarily master KUKA — and a programming error in a robotic cell can mean anything from a collision to an unplanned line stoppage.
